About Dr. Bolos Gerges

My journey to becoming a physician was shaped by various events rather than a single defining moment. A curiosity about the human body, sparked by a simple question in my childhood, set me on a path of inquiry. Inspired by my parents, both role models, my mother’s selfless work as a dentist for underprivileged families and my father’s encouraging words further fueled my passion.

Choosing Memorial was an obvious choice due to its unique attributes, offering the opportunity to serve diverse and veteran patients. Working alongside experienced physicians in a supportive environment fosters a strong sense of purpose, resilience, and ethical practice. My background in service, leadership, and mental fortitude prepares me for the dynamic environment, merging my passion for medicine and teaching into a fulfilling career.

My medical interests encompass various fields, including academic and hospital medicine, geriatrics, and preventive care. Beyond medicine, I find joy in chess, tennis, exploring cuisines, and watching documentaries. My proficiency in Spanish and Arabic allows me to connect directly with a broader range of patients, emphasizing compassionate care. Excited to bring my commitment to underserved communities and community outreach experience to Gulfport, I eagerly join Memorial with dedication. In my personal life, I cherish running, hiking, sports, podcasts, board games, and cherished moments with family and friends.

About Dr. Anam Hamid

I am from Multan, a city in Punjab Pakistan. Multan is famous for its beautiful blue handcrafted pottery, local cuisine as Sohan Halwa, it’s delicious mangoes and lush green fields.

I got my bachelor’s in medicine from Quaid e Azam Medical College. I chose internal medicine because of in-depth knowledge of connections inside and outside of the adult human body, piece together multiple data sets in clinical and non-clinical settings, make sense of the health care landscape, interpret information, and identify patient outcomes to deliver the best care.

I am grateful to Memorial hospital for providing me with the opportunity to learn from experienced physicians and to find collaborative solutions to medical challenges. As a physician I strive to help people live better, healthier lives and improve the lives of patients’ families.

I enjoy watching cricket with my husband. I love to travel with my family and explore different countries and their cuisine.

About Dr. Bradley Lasseigne

I’m from Thibodaux, Louisiana where I attended E.D. White high school and graduated from Nichols State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Shortly after, I moved to Monroe, Louisiana where I attended the inaugural class of my medical school, VCOM.

I chose Memorial for residency because of the excellent clinical faculty, inviting environment, and strong leadership. Memorial ensures each resident has the resources and experience to become a great physician. The sense of community and comradery here is unmatched by any other program.

When I’m not working, I enjoy collecting and restoring antique cars, playing a round of golf, and spending time at the beach with my family.

About Dr. Josh Luke

I was born here at Gulfport Memorial Hospital and had the privilege of growing up on the back bay of Biloxi. Fishing, boating, and enjoying the delicious seafood here are all part of my proud Biloxi heritage. I attended undergraduate at USM and graduated medical school from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

From the time I was 5 years old I knew I wanted to become a doctor on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and could not be more thrilled that my dream has come into fruition through residency at Memorial.

I believe growing up in Mississippi has made me keenly aware of the unique needs of our diverse patient population. I look forward to serving the same community that has supported me every step of the way throughout this journey.

In addition to practicing medicine, I enjoy hunting, fitness, and hanging out with friends and family.

About Dr. Nikhil Mardhekar

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where my parents instilled in me a love for medicine from an early age. Their passion for medicine and respect for the sciences sparked my own fascination with the human body’s complexity. This inspiration led me to Lincoln Memorial University, where I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.). My interest in physiology and medicine soon grew into a deeper focus on hematology/oncology, a field where I’m driven to understand cancer and its impact.

Now based in Gulfport, I’m dedicated to serving this community by helping patients live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. Our aim is to focus not just on treatment but on improving quality of life for each individual.

In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, drawing, and exploring the outdoors on my bike.
