MHS encourages and actively recruits applicants from all segments of the world’s population. We are committed to maintaining an educational environment that fosters respect for and sensitivity to individual differences, promotes personal and professional development, and gives all students the opportunity to succeed.
MHS fosters and protects a learning environment conducive to educational excellence with the ultimate goals of elimination of health disparities and improved health and well-being for the citizens of Mississippi.
What makes training at Memorial Hospital unique?
At Memorial, you will be an active member and leader of the health care team. You will not only train, you will teach. You will be immersed in complex cases and you will be challenged. Our program directors, associate program directors and faculty are dedicated to not only providing strong foundations in medical practice but also developing the art and nuances of communicating with patients, their families and colleagues to improve the healthcare experience.
We are looking for residents who want to be more.
More than an average provider. More than just focused on the medicine. We are looking for residents who want to be leaders. Leaders in quality and patient safety, leaders in advocating for their patients, and leaders who understand how the systems need to work together to provide the best care for our patients.
Sincerely,
Wayne Latack, MD
