About Dr. Dimitriades

Dimitrios “Jimmy” Dimitriades, MD completed his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed his family medicine residency at the Carilion Roanoke Family Medicine program via the University of Virginia. This was followed by a year of urgent care and emergency room medicine in rural West Virginia.

Dr. Dimitriades found his permanent home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast working with Memorial Hospital at Gulfport to develop a family medicine practice with an emphasis on pediatric care. He quickly developed an association with Tulane University School of Medicine, mentoring medical students for more than 15 years, later adding teaching DO students through the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Medical Student Information

Memorial Health System accepts applications for medical students to complete a variety of rotations. Interested applicants can request rotations by completing the Medical Student Rotation Request Form. Please complete this form and email it to Lakeshia Smith who is our Medial Education & Advanced Learner Coordinator and is responsible for servicing all our medical students, audition rotations, international medical graduates/observerships (IMG’s) and APP rotations. About Dr. Chance

Rickey Chance, DO is excited about his role as associate program director for the Memorial Hospital Family Medicine residency. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and he completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

During his 30 years as a board-certified family physician, Dr. Chance has been active in several professional organizations and has served in leadership roles in local, state and national organizations related to the practice of medicine.

About Dr. Rose

Dr. Rebecca Rose is excited to be involved in teaching again, and in guiding residents on their learning pathway. She came to Mississippi from North Carolina on a ballet scholarship and hasn’t left yet! She even did her active duty US Air Force commitment at Keesler Air Force Base. Dr. Rose did her medical school and residency training at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, then proceeded to Keesler Air Force Base, where she served as medical director of the Family Medicine Clinic. She was also involved with supervising and teaching medical students, new nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Dr. Rose served as medical director of the Air Force PA training program at Keesler Air Force Base. She is married and has two boys, who are the light of her life. Her furry children are pretty awesome, too!

About Stephanie Schindler

With 21 years’ experience in the field of social work, Stephanie Schindler has been a part of the Memorial Health System family for 17 years. During this time, she has served as a Medical Social Worker in the Social Services Department, Coordinator of Customer Relations and Patient Experience Specialist. In May 2023, she became the Behavioral Health Core Faculty for the GME Program and is enthusiastic about serving in this capacity. As the BHCF, she is responsible for the administrative and educational activities within Family Medicine, developing and implementing the ACGME required wellness curriculum.  She provides general training and counseling of the residents in the program.    Stephanie Schindler holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi and received her LCSW in August of 2013.

About Jennifer Hall

Jennifer Hall is a dedicated professional with over 9 years of experience at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. Throughout her journey here, she has had the opportunity to work across various departments including her roles as a Business Office Representative in a multitude of clinics, Billing and Coding for Radiation Oncology, and an Office Manager for Oncology. She holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare from Southern New Hampshire University. Her diverse experience in the healthcare sector has equipped her with a comprehensive skill set that she is eager to leverage for continued growth and improvement in patient care and operational efficiency.
