About Dr. Rose

Dr. Rebecca Rose is excited to be involved in teaching again, and in guiding residents on their learning pathway. She came to Mississippi from North Carolina on a ballet scholarship and hasn’t left yet! She even did her active duty US Air Force commitment at Keesler Air Force Base. Dr. Rose did her medical school and residency training at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, then proceeded to Keesler Air Force Base, where she served as medical director of the Family Medicine Clinic. She was also involved with supervising and teaching medical students, new nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Dr. Rose served as medical director of the Air Force PA training program at Keesler Air Force Base. She is married and has two boys, who are the light of her life. Her furry children are pretty awesome, too!

About Dr. Cathey

Gene Cathey, MD is a board-certified family physician who is a 2003 graduate of Ross University in Dominica, West Indies, and New York City. He completed his residency and fellowship in family practice in 2006 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. His professional interests are in full spectrum care and emergency medicine.

About Dr. Lee

John Lee, DO is a 2013 graduate of the University of Pikeville (Kentucky) School of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated residency in 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky. He began full-time practice in Kentucky as well as becoming clinical faculty for the University of Pikeville and core faculty for the Family Medicine residency there. Because of his love for teaching, he was able to train residents, students, nurse practitioners and PA students. He recently began full-time practice in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

About Dr. Maddox

Brian Maddox, DO is a 2013 graduate of the University of Pikeville (Kentucky) College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in 2016 at Stony Brook Southampton Family Medicine in Stony Brook, New York. He has spent the last four and a half years practicing family medicine full time. In his previous position he was one of four core preceptors for a small family medicine residency program in Henderson, Kentucky. He was also the director of the advanced wound care clinic at his hospital and one of two medical review officers for the organization. He recently relocated to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to practice outpatient medicine.

About Dr. Conger

Dr. Conger is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, he moved to Texas to attend the university of Dallas, and earned his Medical Doctorate at the University of Texas at Houston.  Dr. Conger served in the United States Air Force for 21 years. During that time, he completed his internal medicine residency ID fellowship training at Wilford Hall Medical Center. During his time in the Air Force, Dr. Conger practiced medicine at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, at Landstuhl Hospital in Germany, Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. His time in the Air Force also included four months at a theater hospital in Iraq.  Dr. Conger has been a Chief Resident and Associate Program Director for internal medicine residency programs at multiple institutions for many years, as well as an APD for The Air Force’s Infectious Diseases fellowship training program. Dr. Conger also has experience as the Infectious Diseases Consultant to the Surgeon General for Europe as well as the Infectious Diseases Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force. Currently practicing medicine at Memorial Hospital, Gulfport, Dr. Conger is excited at the opportunity to develop internal medicine residency on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
