About Dr. Borchelt

Mark D. Borchelt, MD, FACE, is an endocrinologist at the Memorial Endocrinology Clinic in Gulfport, Mississippi, and is serving as the principal investigator for the National Diabetes and Obesity Research Center in Tradition, Mississippi. He earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine of Northeastern Ohio Universities in Rootstown. Dr. Borchelt completed an internship and residency at Akron City Hospital in Ohio, followed by a

fellowship in endocrinology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. He is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.

Dr. Borchelt is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American College of Endocrinology. He has participated in research studies as a co-investigator, focusing on the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus. Dr. Borchelt is the recipient of numerous honors, including being listed as “Top Doc” at his former practice in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
